PayPal Friends & Family Setup Via E-mail Forwarding

This guide will help you set up PayPal Family and Friends via email forwarding for the SellAuth platform.

To be able to detect the PayPal Friends & Family payments you receive, you have to forward PayPal e-mails to [e-mail]. The following steps will explain how to setup e-mail forwarding in Gmail. You can apply similar steps to other e-mail providers.

1. Open your email

2. Open the settings (top right corner, All Settings)

3. Open the forwarding settings ("Forwarding and POP/IMAP")

4. Add a forwarding address

5. Paste [e-mail] in the textbox.

6. Once you continue, you will receive an email from Gmail with a forwarding confirmation. We will automatically return this email back to you. It will quite possibly arrive in your Spam folder.

7. Press the link inside the confirmation email you received to confirm the request.

8. Go back to forwarding settings ("Forwarding and POP/IMAP") and create a filter.

9. In the From textbox, enter the email from which you receive PayPal's notifications (usually [e-mail]).

10. Press "Create filter" next to "Search" at the bottom.

11. Choose "Forward it to:" option and select the [e-mail] address.

12. Create the filter.

13. Add your own email address to SellAuth's Payment Processor settings, under "PayPal for Friends & Family".

Note: Your PayPal language in PayPal settings (https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/profile/) should be set to English, otherwise we cannot extract the necessary information from the e-mails.
